Henri PESCAROLO

Born in September 25, 1942.

Beginnings in 1964 thanks to the « Ford Jeunesse » operation. F3 France Champion in 1967, F2 France and European Vice-Champion in 1968, F1 France Champion in 1970, 56 participations in F1 Grand Prix.

It is in Sport Prototype that Henri Pescarolo wrote its most beautiful pages of its prize list: in 33 participations to the “24h du Mans” (absolute record), he drove for Matra, Alfa Roméo, Ferrari, Porsche, Lancia, Mercedes, Jaguar…

4 times “24h du Mans” winner: in 1972, on Matra with Graham Hill, 1973 and 1974 still on Matra and with Gérard Larousse, in 1984, on Porsche-Joëst with Klauss Ludwig. One time winner of the 24h of Daytonna in 1991. 22 victories in Endurance World Championships. Henri Pescarolo also participated to Rallies such as the Paris-Dakar.

He is aircraft, ULM and helicopter pilot. Henri is also responsible for the ELF subsidiary, and since 1995 he engages a car to the “24h du Mans”, with team-mates from the ELF subsidiary: Franck Lagorce, Emmanuel Clérico, Jean-Philippe Belloc, Franck Montagny etc…

In 2000, Henri Pescarolo started a new career; he is now Team director and is at the head of PESCAROLO SPORT.
